
College of Education for Humanities Holds Scientific Symposium on the Impact of a Clean Environment on Fostering Creativity
The Department of History at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, held a scientific symposium entitled “The Impact of a Clean Environment on Fostering Creativity.” This event reflects the college’s commitment to environmental issues and their relationship to intellectual and creative development within educational institutions.The symposium, moderated by Professor Dr. Maher Mubdir Abdul Karim, addressed several key themes. These included the importance of a clean environment in promoting the mental health of individuals and society, particularly university students, given its role in developing cognitive abilities and stimulating creative energies. The symposium also explored the relationship between sound urban planning and the development of innovative thinking among students.Furthermore, the symposium highlighted the negative effects of environmental pollution on weakening creative abilities, especially in educational settings. It also presented successful models and experiences from societies that have prioritized environmental stewardship, which has positively impacted their scientific and cultural output.The symposium concluded by examining the negative effects of environmental pollution on creative abilities, particularly in educational settings. The symposium concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably the need to promote a culture of environmental conservation, support environmental initiatives in academic institutions, encourage scientific research in the fields of environment and innovation, and enhance cooperation between governmental and community bodies to achieve a clean and sustainable environment, in line with Goal 13: Climate Action.
