With the Launch of Afforestation Campaigns, a Delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research Visits the Green Spaces at the College of Education for Human Sciences

A delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research visited the College of Education for Humanities at the University of Diyala, accompanied by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak. They were received by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, to inspect the green spaces and participate in the afforestation campaigns launched today in the college and its academic departments on the occasion of the Iraqi National Afforestation Day, March 12, 2025.

The Dean of the College stated that the campaigns launched on this day align with the Ministry’s strategy to sustain green areas, rehabilitate, clean, and plant the college gardens, and give due care to green spaces as they are essential components of a modern university environment. He emphasized the importance of adding aesthetic value to the college’s buildings and classrooms and promoting a culture of green oases, which serve as a healthy outlet and help reduce the pressures of work and study.

At the conclusion of the visit, the University President, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, honored the visiting delegation with a Shield of Creativity and Excellence in appreciation of their visit, wishing them continued success.
