College of Education for Humanities Holds a Photography Exhibition
The Student Activities Division at the College of Education for Human Sciences, University of Diyala, organized a photography exhibition titled “Nadia Murad, the Yazidi: Stories of Challenge and the Will to Live” in the Department of English building.
The exhibition was inaugurated by the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, who emphasized the importance of the event in commemorating the brave and oppressed young woman who endured horrific suffering at the hands of ISIS terrorist groups. Today, Nadia Murad serves as the first UN Goodwill Ambassador for the Dignity of Survivors of Human Trafficking and was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 2018 in recognition of her efforts.
The exhibition, organized by Mr. Ali Mezhir Abdullah, Head of the Student Activities Division, featured portraits of the Yazidi activist Nadia Murad. A number of students from various departments of the college participated in the exhibition.
