The Department of English at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, organized an extracurricular activity that is entitled “Cultural and Linguistic Differences Between Iraqi, American, and British Societies.”
The activity, supervised by Dr. Abdul Kareem Yaseen Ahmed and Assistant Instructor Riham Abdul Kareem, with contributions from several English students, covered various topics. It explored similarities and differences between British and American accents, as well as cultural differences between Iraq, Britain, and the United States. These cultural distinctions were highlighted for their significance in today’s interconnected world, as they contribute to building better relationships and fostering empathy among individuals and communities.
The activity also included illustrative images and contributions from the attendees.
