Dean of the College of Education for Humanities Participates in the Sustainable Development FestivalProfessor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at Diyala University, participated today, Sunday, April 26, 2026, in the first day of the Sustainable Development Festival. The festival included a range of environmental activities, most notably a tree-planting campaign on campus, with the participation of several faculty members and students.This initiative aimed to raise environmental awareness and instill a culture of respect for green spaces, given their important role in improving the university environment and reducing pollution, as well as creating an aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that positively impacts the learning environment.During his participation, the Dean emphasized the importance of adopting sustainable environmental initiatives, praising the efforts of the festival organizers and participants, and commending the spirit of cooperation and teamwork in ensuring the success of these events, which contribute to serving the community and the environment.This activity aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 13 (Climate Action) and Goal 15 (Life on Land), by supporting environmental initiatives and increasing green spaces within educational institutions.
