
As part of Global Entrepreneurship Week, the College of Education for Humanities held a scientific seminar entitled “A Roadmap to Your Project’s Success: Practical Mastery of Financial and Economic Feasibility Studies.”
Under the patronage of the President of Diyala University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities, Professor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, and as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week (Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week), under the slogan “From the Land of the Two Rivers… Ideas Take Flight – Your Idea is Iraqi… Iraq Innovates,” the Technology Incubator and Ecosystem Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, in cooperation with the College of Administration and Economics at Diyala University, held a scientific seminar entitled “A Roadmap to Your Project’s Success: Practical Mastery of Financial and Economic Feasibility Studies.”The seminar, whose topics were discussed by Professor Dr. Alia Hussein Khalaf and Lecturer Dr. Hussein Habib Hussein, addressed the practical foundations for preparing feasibility studies for small and medium-sized enterprises in Iraq, with a focus on transforming investment ideas into realistic plans supported by accurate financial figures and indicators.The seminar explored the concept of feasibility studies as a tool for investment decision-making, analyzing market, technical, financial, legal, and environmental aspects. It also highlighted key financial indicators such as the break-even point, payback period, and return on investment (ROI). A practical application was included, demonstrating how to calculate costs and profitability and make investment decisions based on real-world data.The presenter emphasized that project success depends not only on the idea itself but also on sound planning based on thorough market research, cost management, and risk analysis, all tailored to the specific economic environment in Iraq.
