
College of Education for Humanities Organizes Workshop on Self-Assessment and Continuous Improvement According to Educational Accreditation Standards
The Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division at the College of Education for Humanities organized a workshop entitled “Preparing the Self-Assessment Report, Continuous Improvement Plan, and Conformity Report According to the National Standards for Accrediting Educational Programs for the Academic Years 2024-2025 and 2025-2026.” The workshop was held in Al-Jawahiri Hall in the Department of Arabic Language, with the participation of several faculty members and those interested in the field of quality assurance.The workshop, presented by Dr. Abdul Hakim Talab Jaafar and Assistant Lecturer Ihab Sami Hussein, addressed the mechanisms for preparing the self-assessment report as a comprehensive and systematic analysis of the performance of educational programs. It also explained how to prepare the continuous improvement plan and conformity report according to the approved national standards for academic accreditation.The workshop aimed to assess the current state of educational programs, identify strengths to enhance them, and address weaknesses to ensure improved quality of educational outcomes and their alignment with labor market demands. It also focused on developing academic and administrative performance and supporting the national accreditation process for educational programs for the academic years 2024–2025 and 2025–2026.The workshop concluded with a number of recommendations, most notably the adoption of self-assessment results in development decision-making, the continued implementation of improvement plans based on clear performance indicators, the promotion of a culture of quality, curriculum development, and the strengthening of institutional partnerships. These efforts align with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing the quality of higher education and ensuring effective learning outcomes.
