
The Quality Assurance Council at the College of Education for Humanities Discusses the National Standards Guide for Accrediting Educational Programs
Chaired by the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at Diyala University, Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, the Quality Assurance Council held a meeting to discuss the National Standards Guide for Accrediting Programs in Colleges of the Educational Group (Second Edition, 2026). This meeting was held as part of the college’s efforts to enhance the quality of its educational outcomes and keep pace with modern academic standards.The meeting addressed the guide’s key themes, which focus on developing educational programs based on sound scientific principles that ensure the achievement of academic accreditation standards. This includes updating curricula, improving teaching methods, and raising the efficiency of institutional performance in accordance with the requirements of comprehensive quality.The council also discussed mechanisms for implementing national standards within academic departments, ways to create a supportive educational environment for accreditation, and strengthening the role of continuous assessment in improving the quality of education and ensuring the achievement of desired educational goals. The meeting emphasized the importance of adhering to these standards as a fundamental step towards raising the academic level of the college and enhancing its competitiveness, in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4: Quality Education, by ensuring high-quality education that meets the needs of students and the labor market.
