College of Education for Humanities Holds a Scientific Seminar on the Essence of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the Injustices She Endured
The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences, in collaboration with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, organized a scientific seminar titled “The Essence of Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and the Injustices She Endured.”The seminar, presented by Professor Dr. Haitham Ali Ahmed al-Zubaidi, explored the exalted status of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) and her profound significance in Islam. She is revered as the “Mistress of the Women of the Worlds” and stands as an exemplary model of faith, piety, patience, and steadfastness. The seminar highlighted the luminous aspects of her noble life, examining her high standing in the eyes of the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him), who stated: “Fatimah is a part of me; whoever harms her, harms me.” This noble Hadith underscores her immense stature and her intrinsic connection to the prophetic mission.Furthermore, the seminar shed light on her position among the Ahl al-Bayt (the Prophet’s Household)—as one of the *Ahl al-Kisa* (People of the Cloak) encompassed by the “Verse of Purification” (*Ayat al-Tat’hir*). It also addressed the injustices she faced—events that have left a profound mark on Islamic memory. The discussion emphasized the importance of drawing lessons, human values, and spiritual insights from her blessed life, holding her up as a paragon of patience, sacrifice, and the defense of truth. This seminar aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals—specifically Goal 4: Quality Education—by fostering cultural and intellectual awareness and embedding human and ethical values within the university community.
