College of Education for Humanities Holds a Scientific Seminar on the Importance of Digital Flexibility for University Students
The Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, held a scientific seminar entitled “The Importance of Digital Flexibility for University Students.” The seminar, attended by faculty members and students, was part of the college’s efforts to enhance digital awareness and keep pace with the demands of the technological age.The seminar, whose topics were discussed by Assistant Professor Dr. Zeina Shahid Ali, aimed to introduce students to the concept of digital flexibility and explain how to learn and develop it. It also addressed the impact of weak digital flexibility on the academic life of university students amidst the rapid digital transformation, and the resulting challenges in scientific research and interaction with electronic resources and educational platforms. The seminar emphasized the important role of the university and the college in developing digital flexibility among students through holding seminars and cultural activities that highlight this concept. This is crucial for empowering students with the skills to search for electronic resources and scientific research in reputable journals, and to effectively utilize the college’s website for academic tasks. Ultimately, this contributes to achieving personal and academic balance and creating a sustainable and balanced lifestyle. The symposium recommended holding discussion sessions among students to develop and enhance digital resilience, conducting descriptive research to identify the level of positive digital resilience and differences among students, and holding scientific seminars for secondary school teachers to cultivate and develop their positive digital resilience. This symposium aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4, “Quality Education,” by supporting digital skills and enhancing the quality of education in the university environment.
