
College of Education for Humanities Holds Scientific Symposium Entitled “Culture: A Space for Dialogue and Creativity”
The Arabic Language Department at the College of Education for Humanities, University of Diyala, held a scientific symposium entitled “Culture: A Space for Dialogue and Creativity,” with the participation of several faculty members and students.The symposium, in which the Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, spoke, aimed to highlight culture as a platform for human interaction and constructive dialogue, and to raise awareness of its role in stimulating individual and collective creativity, thus contributing to building a conscious society capable of producing and developing knowledge.The symposium addressed culture as a dynamic space for generating creative ideas, explaining the close relationship between culture, society, and the individual, and the role of arts, literature, and cultural activities in strengthening communication among different segments of society and encouraging critical and creative thinking. It also reviewed local and international experiences that affirmed the importance of culture as a bridge for understanding and cooperation.The symposium concluded with a discussion of culture as a space for dialogue and creativity, and a discussion of local and international experiences that affirmed the importance of culture as a bridge for understanding and cooperation. The symposium recommended the need to employ Arab literary heritage and cultural legacy in developing creativity and enhancing students’ constructive criticism skills, in line with the fourth Sustainable Development Goal, “quality education,” by supporting an educational environment based on dialogue and cultural openness.
