The meeting also defined the powers, responsibilities, and work schedule for each subcommittee, in addition to studying the program standards and analyzing their components and indicators. The meeting recommended adopting self-assessment as an ongoing, periodic process that extends beyond accreditation requirements. It also emphasized the need to enhance the participation of faculty, students, and stakeholders in all stages of assessment and improvement; provide the necessary institutional support and resources for the effective implementation of improvement plans; develop accurate information systems to support data collection and performance indicator analysis; link self-assessment results to academic and professional development plans; and cultivate a culture of quality and continuous improvement within colleges of education to ensure sustainability and excellence. This activity aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 4 (Quality Education), by promoting quality assurance and academic accreditation, and raising the standards of educational programs to contribute to achieving high-quality and inclusive education.
