
The College of Education for Humanities Organizes a Scientific Workshop Entitled “Quality and Accreditation: A Roadmap to Scientific Excellence”
Under the patronage of the President of Diyala University, Professor Dr. Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education for Humanities at Diyala University, Professor Dr. Luay Sayhood Al-Tamimi, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division organized a scientific workshop entitled “Quality and Accreditation: A Roadmap to Scientific Excellence,” with the participation of a number of faculty members and staff.The workshop, presented by Professor Dr. Arshad Adham Ahmed, Assistant Lecturer Riyadh Salam Mohammed, Head Translator Saja Hatem Ali, and Assistant Lecturer Zainab Qutaiba Abdulali, aimed to promote a culture of quality within the university environment, introduce the requirements for academic and institutional accreditation, and explain its role in raising the scientific and administrative level of the college, thus contributing to achieving excellence and improving the outcomes of higher education.The workshop was attended by a number of faculty members and staff of the college. The workshop covered several topics, including the concepts of total quality management, academic accreditation standards, and their implementation mechanisms in educational institutions. It also reviewed best practices that contribute to developing institutional performance and achieving the college’s strategic goals. The workshop emphasized the importance of adopting a culture of quality as a sustainable approach that contributes to improving academic and administrative performance and enhances the institution’s standing, competitiveness, and ability to excel.The workshop recommended providing evidence and proof to achieve the desired strategic goals for accreditation, and coordinating efforts, resources, and capabilities across all levels of academic institutions to develop methods for accreditation and academic excellence. It also recommended working towards achieving the institution’s evaluation, performance, and accreditation standards to reflect the highest standards of scientific and academic achievement.This workshop aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, by supporting the quality of higher education and fostering a learning environment capable of achieving excellence and academic accreditation.
